Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, and his wife, Melinda, have made their intention of walking out of their marriage known.
The couples reportedly posted the news on their personal Twitter handles on Monday, asserting that the decision was reached after due consideration.
The couple who had been married for 27 years have been actively involved in major philanthropic activities across the world
Bill and Melinda’s post on Twitter read that, “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage”.
“We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue to work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives,” the posts disclosed.
“We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life,” it concluded.
