Following the ongoing ASUU strike, the body had said that they will be meeting with the Federal Government on Friday. This was disclosed to them on Wednesday night through a text message.
According to them, the federal government has agreed to pay them N30 billion academic earned allowance and N20 billion for the revitalization of the education sector and arrears of the lecturers. The only problem they said they have now is the mode through which the payment is to be made.
The body said they don’t want the government mode of payment which is the IPPIS, but they prefer UTAS.
