Adekunle Ajasin University Postpones Exams Indefinitely

Following the fatal accident that occurred at Adekunle Ajasin University gate, Akungba Akoko area of Ondo State, and the lives of students lost in the process, the management of the State-owned University had postponed the exams scheduled to start tomorrow January 24th, 2021 Indefinitely.

According to reports, this directive was revealed in a statement issued by the Acting Registrar of the university, OpeOluwa Akinfenwa. The entire management of the school had condoled with the affected families, the university community and the Akungba community.

The statement read, “As a mark of respect for our departed students, the examinations scheduled to start on Monday, 24th January 2021, is hereby postponed till further notice. We appeal to our students to remain calm, as the University mourns those that lost their lives in this unfortunate incident.”

The statement added that “The University and the Ondo State Government are working round the clock to institute permanent solutions to the problem of incessant road accidents along Ikare-Akungba road”.
